The idea of Pinkberry is simple: frozen yogurt, and variations of frozen yogurt. Its focused menu tells you that this is what they’re best at, and they don’t need other items to fill the menu. All you have to do is pick a size, then your base yogurt, and lastly fill the cup with your choice of toppings.

To celebrate Macaron Day and to support local pastry shops’ effort to raise money for charities, I dropped by Leonidas for some macarons. On that day, macarons were at 25% off, i.e. $1.50 each instead of its regular price at $2. Too good of an offer to pass up.
Afternoon Tea at 900 West Lounge @ Fairmont Vancouver

Part of a girls’ day out, I took Mom to the Castle – Fairmont Hotel Vancouver – for its famous Afternoon Tea. Thanks to a 2-for-1 deal coupon, it only cost me half of the original price. Even though each Fairmont property offers afternoon tea service, prices vary from one to another. At Fairmont Vancouver, it is $36 per person (plus tax and gratuity).
Traditionally, high tea/afternoon tea is usually a light meal between lunch and dinner, to get you through the afternoon. The tea menu at Fairmont Vancouver actually has a decent amount of food per person, so we made it a lunch date for a Saturday afternoon.
