Late August, my friend and I ventured to the East Coast of the US to New York City. Hot, humid, polluted air smacked my face as soon as we neared Manhattan. For 10 days, we traveled from place to place by foot or subway, shopping and eating wherever and whenever.

RIP McRib

Visually speaking the patty is now just a rectangular block, where as (if I remember correctly) before, it took on the shape of a slab of ribs. Some might say that’s disturbing, but I thought the shape of it added charm. Now it’s just boring. The bun seems to be a slight improvement on whatever they use for regular sandwiches. There’s more texture and substance to them. The patty is very saucy, making it messy to eat and difficult to grab on to (the meat likes to slide).

Last week, I went to a picnic in the park-wait for it-ing lot. What, parking lot? Yeah, how else could we check out the spiffy new Triple O’s food truck! Triple O’s just launched its first mobile food truck. In fact, it’s the very first food truck in Canada that is owned by a quick service restaurant chain.
Rasoee Indian Kitchen (Robson St.)

Receiving an invitation to a complimentary blogger luncheon, I paid a visit to Rasoee Indian Kitchen on Robson Street. Rasoee is a modern Indian quick service restaurant. When I stepped into the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the decor because it’s clean, modern looking, although it doesn’t really speak Indian food to me. At the table were also Gloria and Hubert, Minna and Teresa. And I had a feeling those comfy chairs might just keep me in the restaurant longer than they want.
