I just want to bring to your attention a great fundraising event for the Japan earthquake and tsunami relief. There are many fundraising events to support the same cause; since I know the organizers of this particular one, I thought I’d play a part and help spread the word.
Organized by Melody Fury and Joy, Bake for the Quake is a bake sale to raise money for Doctors without Borders. A number of local, talented bakers have agreed to participate and sell their yummy baked goods at this event. Now all they need is people like you who appreciate good quality, delicious food. Help support this great cause on April 20, 2011!
Date: Wednesday, April 20, 2011
Location: Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews, Vancouver, at the corner of Davie St. and Pacific Blvd.) – 2 minutes away from the Yaletown Roundhouse Canada Line station.
There will also be raffle draws and silent auctions, as well as music and refreshments.
Note: This is a cash only event, and please bring your own containers/bags for your yummy purchase.
