It’s not news that Goldfish in Yaletown has been transformed into Goldfish Seafood & Chops and it will carry on The Cannery’s tradition. Soon at Goldfish there will be The Cannery’s famous Salmon Wellington, Smoked Alaska Black Cod, Scallops & Prawns, Bouillabaisse and the Seafood Platter, to name a few. There will also be signature dishes from its sister restaurant Joe Fortes such as the Seafood Tower, the Wedge Salad and a wide variety of fresh grilled fish. About half of the Goldfish menu will be devoted to West Coast Seafood with Pacific Rim flavours, alongside its signature Beef Short Ribs, Miso Sablefish and a good selection of freshly shucked oysters.
We received this newsletter from Kanke Seafood Restaurants, founders of these restaurants, about this wonderful deal for former Cannery guests (us included!). Previous Cannery guests will benefit from complimentary valet parking on their first 3 visits as well as 25% off food items between 5 and 7 pm on your visits to Goldfish up until November 30, 2011. Mention The Cannery and you’ll get the VIP treatment – you may even catch Wayne Sych, former Executive Chef of The Cannery on one of his cameo visits! Nice!
I’m quite excited to hear about all this as I enjoyed my few visits to The Cannery, Goldfish and Joe Fortes. Now it’s like all combined into one – how great is that? I should take the time to try Goldfish soon.
