I was invited to the media preview of the Atlantis: Night Circus, one of the Dine Out Vancouver events this year.
The media preview wasn’t in the exact format of the actual event, but it gave us a taste of what to expect. Without giving away too much, I would say this is a combination of circus-type aerials, burlesque performances, live music, along with theatre role-play that involves the audience. Each of us was also given a character that we’re supposed to play.
The actual event has an option to add on a 3-course dinner beforehand. The media preview didn’t include a tasting of the menu so I can’t comment on that. This reminds me of a dinner theatre but with more interesting components to it.
This is an interesting concept and would be a good idea for a weekend outing in the next 3 weeks. If you are interested, visit the Dine Out Vancouver website for ticket info.
