And the draw is: Parallel 49 Salty Scot Maple
Salty Scot was my first P49 beer and I loved it. The sweet, salty caramel flavour reminds me of chewing on a salted caramel candy – and I think those are just delicious. And here’s a pop quiz for you: Guess what else I love? If your answer was “Maple”, then here’s a HIGH FIVE for you! I think I’m more excited about this beer than any other so far this year. Seriously.
Pour is dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is caramel and maple. Taste is exactly what I want it to be. Caramel, salt, and sweet maple. Salt is a bit harder to find with all the sweetness rolling around in there though, to be honest. This may actually be too sweet for some, if I’m being fair.
Now that I think of it, this is an ideal pancake making beer. I’m going to have to head over to the P49 tasting room to buy some more…
Totally arbitrary score with holiday reference: 4/5 Nutcrackers
