Happy Pi Day, everyone! Today some Asian countries also celebrate White Valentine's Day, so I want to take this opportunity to share the recipe of the pie pops I made for Mr. this Valentine's Day. The filling is fig preserves with Nutella.

At the 2016 Vancouver International Wine Festival, I once again went to the popular 25 Under $25. Hand-picked by James Nevison, The Province's "Wine Guy", we got to sample 25 wines priced reasonably at $25 or less. Here is the full list of wines and I've highlighted the ones I enjoyed the most.

WildTale Coastal Grill – Three Times A Charm

Since its opening last year, I've been to WildTale three times. First, I took my bridesmaids there after the wedding last summer; then, my family and I went there for Dine Out just this past January. And now, I was invited by the restaurant to try some of its menu items. It's hard to believe it's taken three visits before a blog post about this restaurant.

[Wines] Discovering Californian Zinfandel & Chardonnay at the Wine Festival

At the California Cruisin' event of the 2016 Vancouver International Wine Festival, vineyards of the Golden State were showcased at the beautiful Waterview by the False Creek. In California, Zinfandel is considered the state's signature red, and Chardonnay is the most widely planted grape, so naturally, my tasting focused on these two varietals.
