I was invited to a Prosecco tasting event hosted by the Prosecco DOC Consortium. We got to sample different styles including Brut, Extra-Dry, and Rosé, paired with small bites featuring flavours from around the world to showcase the versatility of Prosecco. Here is a select list of food & drink events happening around town between July and September 2025. They are most likely in Vancouver but I'll try to cover the Lower Mainland and beyond, as much as I can. Neate Donuts – New Donut Shop by JJ Bean Coffee

The Neate family (owner of JJ Bean Coffee) first started their business in Vancouver in the 1940s delivering coffee and donuts around town. The donut aspect was lost over the years but now they're bringing it back. Enters Neate Donuts at the Oceanic Plaza. The grand opening promotion is not until May 5-10 but I was in the area so I had to go check it out.

[Van Wine Fest 2025] West Coast Wine Allstars

The Vancouver International Wine Festival is back for its 46th year. This year's theme was West Coast U.S. I attended a wine seminar that showcased ten top-tiered wines from the featured region, with winery representatives offering insight into their growing and/or wine-making process. So let me share some of my own tasting notes here.
