Thanksgiving Dinner with Echelon Foods Turducken Roast

Traditionally it's not in our culture to celebrate Thanksgiving. But this year, as newlyweds, we did something different and invited 4 friends over for a Thanksgiving dinner. Courtesy of Echelon Foods, we received one of their Bacon Wrapped Turducken Premium Roasts. It's a turducken roast with Italian sausage stuffing and wrapped with bacon. A 3kg meaty goodness. It's going to be an epic dinner!

[VanFoodies in Campbell River] Sipping Vodka at Shelter Point Distillery

My job sometimes takes me to places, and when it does, I could be treated to some pretty cool experiences that I otherwise may not plan for myself. Last month I went to Campbell River for a conference, and we were taken to visit a local distillery.

#HarvestHaus 2015 – Eating & Drinking with #SaminHand

Continuing last year's tradition, Vancouverites once again celebrated Oktoberfest at Harvest Haus, under the big tent at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza. Mr. and I went to the Friday seating on the second weekend, checking out the German-style food, beer, live music and entertainers. We've put some food dishes to the test with Samuel Adams, a US craft brewery that I have been spotting at many local food events, supporting and promoting the idea of food and beer pairing.

Parklane Chinese Restaurant – Celebrating full moon with Chiu Chow cuisine

Just a couple weeks ago it was Moon Festival aka Mid Autumn Festival. To us, it's an occasion for family gathering, so Mr. and I, along with our parents, went out for a big dinner at Parklane Chinese Restaurant.

Icy Bar – Icy treats for any occasion #ChineseBites

We accepted an invitation from ChineseBites to check out Icy Bar near Boundary and Kingsway. It may already be September but we are not quite finished with the hot weather yet. Actually for Mr., he would just crave icy treats on a random day, even if it's cold outside!
