Eat Vancouver Part 1 – Things I Liked vs Didn’t Like

Last weekend, I sent myself and Mr. to check out Eat! Vancouver 2011. The biggest food consumer show in town, Eat Vancouver attracts visitors in the thousands each day. Except for the Pet Food section, we dropped by almost every booth at the event. If you didn't go to the show, it's actually impossible to tell you everything, so we will give you a glimpse of what you missed.

Arts Club’s Celebrity Chef Cooking Classes ft. Chef Ned Bell

Mr. and I received an invitation to attend one of the Arts Club Theatre's Celebrity Chef Cooking Classes, and it turned out to be one featuring Chef Ned Bell. Chef Bell is the Head Chef of the new Rosewood Hotel Georgia, which is due to open in June. We had a wonderful meal specially prepared by one of the celebrity chefs in town, enjoyed the interaction with Chef Bell and watching him demonstrate throughout the evening.

Snowshoeing & Eating on Cypress Mountain

On the weekend Mr. and I went on this snowshoeing tour put on by Natural Trekking, a Valentine's Day gift from Mr.. It's an evening hike up the Bowen Lookout Winter Trail on the Cypress Mountain. It's a moderate hike, approximately 1 hour each way - perfect for newbies like us. Now, you must be wondering, what does snowshoeing have to do with food? Well, I'd be wondering the same thing, too.
