I was quite excited when Mon Paris opened up in Burnaby. I was following them on Instagram and the cakes were just beautiful! Taste of Yaletown is back! For the 12th year, 31 restaurants in the Yaletown area are each offering a special menu at $25, $35 or $45. As part of the media preview, a number of us were whisked away to one of the participating restaurants. I was lucky enough to sample the menu at Provence Marinaside. It's been awhile since I last ate there, so I'm glad to go back for a re-visit.

We were invited to go on a tour to check out the various Donnelly Group properties and their Dine Out Vancouver menu. Donnelly Group locations are offering their Dine Out menu at $20. Executive Chef Alvin Pillay has recently returned to the company group, and he's quite proud of the menus that he's put together. After tasting some of the items, I thought it's pretty good value for the money. The menu seems ordinary, but executive chef and the kitchen teams have added some flare to the classics. Pick a location that offers the vibe and atmosphere that you want, a $20 3-course dinner isn't such a bad idea for a dinner out.
