In recent years, it has become our Christmas tradition to visit the Vancouver Christmas Market. This year, the Vancouver Christmas Market is celebrating its 5th anniversary and of course we wouldn't want to miss it!
Sweet Obsession Cakes & Pastries – Oh Sweet Heaven!
Trafalgars Bistro at Trafalgar and West 16th has always been our favourite. It's been our go-to place for Valentine's Day, anniversary, birthdays and any special occasions in between. We were always impressed by the desserts, which were supplied by its sister operation, Sweet Obsession, located right next door; but it was only until recent days that we finally stopped by Sweet Obsession for some sweet treats.
The First Tastes of Fall at Hawksworth Restaurant #DineWithAmex
As mentioned in my earlier post, we were invited to attend the private Amex Platinum Cardmember Dinner at Hawksworth Restaurant, joining roughly 60 Amex Platinum Cardmembers at the York Room earlier this week. Overall, I thought the dinner had delivered on all expectations that I had. There was a lot of textural contrast on each plate, with flavours that reminded you of fall. It was also in this intimate setting, allowing you to mingle with friends, or meet some new friends, over a long, elegant dining table.
[Food Truck] Slavic Rolls – East European Dessert on the Wheel
In addition to Fliptop, we also discovered an interesting dessert truck at the Columbia StrEAT event. This truck sells one thing, an East European dessert called Slavic Roll, hence the truck name "Slavic Rolls".
Interesting Finds at Eat! Vancouver 2014
It has been a few years since we last went to Eat! Vancouver. This year, looking at the interesting lineup of events, we returned as a media and checked out the event at the beautiful BC Place Stadium.
