La Chocolaterie – Chocolate as Salad Substitute?

For Mother's Day, I took Mama Lam to Got Craft to get some inspirations for her hobby craft work. Of course, there were a number of local food producers exhibiting as well. In particular, the La Chocolaterie booth caught my eyes with its colourful collection of chocolates. I picked up a few boxes to take home for a tasting.

Nero Belgian Waffle Bar – Lining up for waffles?

After our dinner at Le Parisien, we wanted something sweet to end our evening of non-stop chatters. Someone suggested Nero Waffles and since I haven't been, I was more than happy to oblige.

Afternoon Tea at a New Height at The Roof, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is giving the ground floor space a face lift, so they temporarily turned the 15th floor ball room into The Roof, continuing its service of breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. I thought, why not taking afternoon tea to a new height?! I decided to take Mama Lam there for a Mother's Day celebration.

Haute Chocolate Service at Chocolate Arts Cafe

Last week Chocolate Arts launched a brand new, enhanced take on high tea - they call it the "Haute Chocolate" service. I was invited to try it out so my friend JX has joined me for some girly time.

Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria – Commercial Drive

Remember going to Famoso for the event featuring world acclaimed pizza chef Roberto Caporuscio from New York City and truly enjoyed the pizzas, I purchased a deal voucher to re-visit Famoso. I wanted to see if their pizzas taste just as good without the live guidance of chef Caporuscio. I wanted to do it now also because of our recent trip to Naples, where we had the authentic Neapolitan pizzas from L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele, a local pizzeria that has been around since 1870.
