[Dine Out Vancouver 2026] Murder is a Drag: Killer Birthday

A surprise birthday party turned deadly and it's one of Dine Out Vancouver 2026's Tasty Events this year. Killer Birthday is the 4th chapter of Vancouver Mysteries' Murder is a Drag series, and we were there on the opening night.

[Dine Out Vancouver 2026] My Shortlist of Restaurants to Check Out #DOVF

As per my annual tradition, I reviewed all the Dine Out Vancouver 2026 menus and put together a shortlist to help fellow foodies (and myself) choose. 450+ restaurants are offering prix fixe menus, mostly between $25 and $70.

[Dine Out Vancouver 2025] Alouette Bistro at Executive Hotel Le Soleil Vancouver

Since Alouette Bistro opened in 2021, I haven't had much opportunity to try them since Downtown Vancouver is no longer my stomping ground. Their Dine Out menu offers limited, but solid choices, and some of my favourite classic French dishes. So, I was actually quite excited to try their Dine Out menu and I had Papa Lam as my lunch date. Yes, the $49 Dine Out menu is available for both lunch and dinner here at Alouette.

[Dine Out Vancouver 2025] H2 Kitchen + Bar at Westin Bayshore

So this wasn't on my Dine Out Vancouver radar before, but the menu at H2 Kitchen + Bar was such good value. Reasonable price at $38 and generous portions. Let me tell you more.

[Dine Out Vancouver 2025] Cardero’s Restaurant

I was invited to preview Cardero's Restaurant's Dine Out Vancouver menu and I couldn't believe how big the portion was! I liked the fact that a lot of these items are available in their a la carte menu, so you are really sampling their food at a discounted price. These days, we often chase after the new restaurants in town, and forget the OGs like Cardero's, so I'm glad that their Dine Out menu is something I can stand behind.
