Irish Heather’s Long Table Series

Ever since Irish Heather created the Long Table Series, I've had my eyes set on it. I was intrigued by the idea, and its menus, especially the Roast Suckling Pig dinner which proved to be the most popular one. After all the summer vacations taken place, I finally was able to gather my coworkers and plan a "pig's night out".

Cardero’s Restaurant

$29.95 for a 3-course prime rib dinner, who would no to it? Planning a birthday dinner for my friend, I was given a specific criteria that the restaurant must be by the water. So, Cardero's came to mind. Along with the affordable menu, now the Sunday Night Prime Rib Dinner just made the deal even sweeter. Done. Decided.

Al Porto Ristorante

I first heard about the restaurant at work as we had held a Christmas dinner there years ago and that they enjoyed it. Then when I learned that my friends were getting engaged and looking for a venue to host their celebration dinner, I seconded their idea of having it at Al Porto. I think it was a very nice venue for special occasions such as an engagement dinner. The Loft Room was beautiful with a gorgeous view and offers a intimate, private setting for the group.

Water St. Cafe

The sixth Dine Out ’09 was at Water St. Cafe. It was a group dinner with 6 other co-workers and they asked the foodie, i.e. me to help pick a place. I chose this location because of its close proximity to our office and its menu was of decent value at $28. I didn't regret recommending this place for dinner.
