[Dine Out Vancouver 2020] Menus are out: What looks good? #DOVF

Dine Out Vancouver is back! Running from January 17 to February 2, the prix fixe portion of this year's program is the same as last year, with 4 price points at $15, $25, $35 and $45. The menus are now live and reservations are open. Here are some suggestions, based on past experience (Dine Out or not) as well as menu attractiveness (e.g. value for the money, choice of ingredients, creativity in the menu, enough options for two people, etc.).

Afuri ramen + dumpling Arrives in Vancouver

The wait is over. One of the highly anticipated restaurants to open in Vancouver - Afuri ramen + dumpling - has officially opened its doors. Last year we went to Portland and checked out the ramen + izakaya and I was quite excited about the arrival of ramen + dumpling here in Vancouver. I was invited to its media night and previewed some of its menu items.

Win Win Chick-N: Fried Chicken in Steveston, Richmond. Winner, winner?

Last year a few fried chicken shops popped up, one of which was Win Win Chick-N in Steveston. It was quite hyped up and this Valentine's Day it was even selling a fried chicken bouquet rivaling Juke. It's a bit of a trek to go to Steveston just for fried chicken but when I won a gift card there, there's no more excuse for me not to try them out.

Afternoon Tea at Origo Club, Richmond

For Mother's Day, I took Mama Lam to afternoon tea at Origo Club. They offered a special menu for the weekend, but surprisingly, it was at its regular price of $45 per person. Good on them for not raising the price on this special day because many places do. The number of items was the same as usual but with a different line-up of desserts.

[Dine Out Vancouver 2019] Menus are out: What looks good? #DOVF

Running from January 18 to February 3, Dine Out Vancouver is back! Did you know I've been doing Dine Out Vancouver since, like, forever? I had the opportunity to go through all the menus. Here are some suggestions, based on past experience as well as menu attractiveness.
