As a Surrey resident and SFU grad, I’ve walked by Central City Brewing Company countless times. It’s a wonder why I never sat down, and tried their beers.
[VanFoodies eat Oregon] Brunch at The Wildflower Grill, Lincoln City
This cute eatery in Lincoln City is a house-turned-restaurant, with a covered sun deck at the back, where we were seated, that has a view of some greenery.
Lazy Brunch at Acme Cafe
It was one of those mornings, where you roll out of bed and you think, "Damn, I really don't want to do anything. I'm hungry, but I don't want to cook." Not sure about you, but I get those days often - not that I always succumb to them. On her recommendation, we headed out to Acme Cafe, which is in that sort of shady part between Chinatown/Gastown area.
Burgoo Bistro (Main Street)
I made a promise to myself that I wanted to go to Burgoo before my birthday in December. Why? I've heard some good things about it which got me really curious about this restaurant, yet every time I went it was just too busy that I couldn't bear the long wait. Finally came the day I celebrated my birthday with some friends, I told myself I had to make it happen. No matter what. Seven of us tiny Chinese people ended up squishing around a table of 4. Seriously, we made it work. Cozy but it worked.
Lonsdale Quay Market Taste Tour & Contest Winners Announced
For five days in October, the Lonsdale Quay Market ran a food and beverage festival called Savour. Since the Savour event was free for public to attend, Mr. and I took the opportunity to explore the market.
