Sunflower Cafe – Is It Worth the Hype?

Mr. and I first heard of the Sunflower Cafe in Maple Ridge through our friend, who saw someone post a raving review in a Facebook group. So for the actual day of our 10th anniversary, we decided to make a reservation at Sunflower Cafe to celebrate the milestone. Now, did the experience meet our expectations?

Soil Restaurant – MICHELIN Restaurant in Athens, Greece

Earlier this month, Mr. and I went on a two-week trip to Greece and Turkey. It was our last evening in Athens, and we found ourselves at Soil Restaurant, a MICHELIN one-star restaurant, as well as a recipient of the MICHELIN Green Star for its sustainable practices. Let me walk you through the 15 items on the menu and our overall experience.

Buffet High Vin Brunch at Glass House Estate Winery Langley

My girlfriends and I went to Glass House Estate Winery for their High Vin Sunday Brunch simply because it sounds like a lot of fun. For $65 per person, you are treated to a buffet brunch, a glass of bubbly and a flight of five 1oz wine.

Beer & Pizza at Field House Brewing, Abbotsford

On one of Papa Lam's days off, we took the family out to the Fraser Valley for a day of fun. One of the stops was Field House Brewing. We've had Field House's beers a number of times now, and it's often a booth we'd stop by at any beer festival, but this was our first time visiting the East Abbotsford brewery on location.

[Dine Out Vancouver 2019] Popina Canteen on Granville Island #DOVF

Not many places offer a $15 Dine Out menu but I was most intrigued by Popina on Granville Island. The restaurant concept is created by some of the most celebrated chefs in Vancouver. The space is made up of shipping containers, located right by the Granville Island Public Market. The $15 menu is pretty straightforward. A sandwich + a side of fries and its signature puffcream for dessert.
