Blue cheese in Mac and Cheese? WHAT? For those of you that don’t like strong cheese, no need to worry. As thick and cheesy the sauce was, I could only detect a slight hint of blue cheese, for all I know I could’ve imagined it. The pasta was cooked just right, despite being scooped out of a warming tray. The meatballs must’ve been from two different batches. One was done perfectly, tender and moist, while the other was just a tad overcooked. Either way the seasoning was pretty spot on.
La Brasserie
A girl's day out includes a relaxing spa treatment and dinner at La Brasserie on Davie. The catch with La Brasserie is that it doesn't take reservations, so you have to get there early to secure a table. Luckily, our spa appointment ended at 5:30pm and we were basically right across from the street. We got a table without any hassle.
Bacchus Restaurant and Lounge
To wrap up this year's Dine Out series, I went to the Bacchus Restaurant at Wedgewood Hotel. I've been wanting to check out this restaurant since I went to the Edible BC's Best Market Dinner that featured Chef Lee Parsons. I was intrigued by Chef Parsons' food so I paid his restaurant a visit.
La Terrazza
Double date night with Mr., and our friends WK and MS. We spent a good amount of time on emails trying to decide on where to go for Dine Out. After a series of discussion, we chose La Terrazza in Yaletown. Our Dine Out experience was overall quite enjoyable. Service quality is often compromised during Dine Out but staff at La Terrzza didn't disappoint us.
