On a sunny Saturday, several of us were on a private tour to visit three wineries in Langley, one of which was Domaine de Chaberton. Although not a part of the tour itinerary, we opted for the a la carte lunch at Bacchus Bistro. This French bistro is a hidden gem tucked away in the Fraser Valley, recently won Bronze in Best Winery/Vineyard Dining by the Vancouver Magazine's 2010 Restaurant Awards.
Hart House Restaurant
I have to say, sometimes I have the toughest time trying to determine a dinner location in Burnaby, especially when it comes to somewhere for fine dining and celebrating special occasions. Often comes to mind is the Hart House near Deer Lake. On a Saturday in May (yeah it's awhile ago, but I had the draft ready awhile back; it's just been collecting dust), Mr. and I went there for a friend's birthday.
Baru Latino
Mr. and I often eat out at West Coast restaurants and French bistros. To diversify our culinary experience, we took the opportunity to look for something different for Dine Out Vancouver. We decided on Latin American; we chose Baru Latino as per Frank's recommendation list.
Red Fish Blue Fish: Fish & Chips on the pier
Who would’ve known grilled oysters with coleslaw all wrapped up in a soft taco shell would be so damn delicious? I certainly didn’t before Red Fish Blue Fish. Red Fish Blue Fish is a little Fish & Chips stand located on the pier in the heart of downtown Victoria. It’s below street level and not easy to find, but the line up starts well before lunch time and extends into late afternoon.
Deutsches Haus Restaurant at Vancouver Alpen Club
Mr. and I went to a food blogger gathering at Deutsches Haus Restaurant. Dining room of the Vancouver Alpen Club, I was looking forward to a treat to some authentic German food.
