I was invited to the sold-out BC Food & Beverage Awards ceremony yesterday, and what a celebration of BC-made food & beverage products! Set at the beautiful Rocky Mountaineer Station, hundreds gathered to not only celebrate food and drinks produced in British Columbia, but to also recognize trailblazers and businesses that are making an environmental or social impact.
Continuing from Part 1 of my list, let me finish off telling you about the beers I tried.
Those who follow me on Twitter may have noticed me dipping my toes into the Cooking With Beer arena. Today I’m here to tell you some of the results. I decided to start with something easy - Pancakes! I have a base recipe that I’ve been making for years so I know exactly what to expect from it.
Winter is one of the best times of the year for seasonal beers with local craft brewers pushing out all kinds of tasty brews to take advantage of the Christmas shopping spree. Now, I know Christmas is already a distant memory for most of you, but I’ve been away on holidays so it’s still fresh in my mind, as are these beers.
