With a deal coupon, Mr. and I enjoyed a nice afternoon tea at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport. Honestly, if not for the coupon, I would never consider trekking all the way to the airport just to eat.

Our deal included two glasses of sparkling wine, which was a decent, dry bubbly. Of course, the focus is still on our pots of tea. What’s different from the afternoon tea at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, is that this is a more modern take of afternoon tea. Check out the fancy tea press below. This tea pot also seems to hold more tea than the traditional pot. We ordered the Berry Berry and Cascade Peppermint, and between the two I would recommend Cascade Peppermint. It was very fragrant and of course, minty; it’s quite light and refreshing so it would go well with the pastries and sandwiches that you’re about to indulge in.

Overview

After climbing out of my big comfy bed at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, and getting a splash of sun from the floor to ceiling windows, it was time for breakfast.

Ahhh… breakfast in bed… what a wonderful concept. People would tell you the bed should be for sleep and sex only, but I’d disagree. A bed’s comfort level is at its highest in the morning. Trust me, I’ve spent many days sleeping in to research this thoroughly. It’s full of warmth and softness. And to have someone make and deliver breakfast for me to eat in bed, it made me feel all fluffy inside.

I’m actually not a breakfast guy, but I do love breakfast. How does that work you ask? I don’t usually eat in the morning, but I do like what goes in a breakfast. All that fat, protein, and carbs, it’s a TRI-WINNING combination. (more…)
