The Cannibal Cafe Downtown – Are You Bacon Bad?

Because I take the Canada Line to work everyday, as I exit the Waterfront station I would see the banner sign of the Cannibal Cafe. It's been a couple of months now and I've been expecting a somewhat more permanent fixture by this point. Nonetheless, when they're selling a Groupon, I bought one to give it a try.

Dine Out Vancouver is back for 2016 – here are our suggestions #DOVF

Dine Out Vancouver is back! Running from January 15 to January 31, it's the biggest one yet, with 288 restaurants offering 3-course dinner as well as more than 100 food-themed events over the 2-week period. Here are some of our suggestions, based on past experience as well as menu attractiveness:

Supermarine – A Hidden Gem Tucked Away in Kitsilano

For my birthday, Mr. surprised me with a dinner at Supermarine. Since its opening, I've been wanting to check it out so I was very excited when our car pulled up right in front of the restaurant. Supermarine focuses on sustainable, seasonal, local products, highlighting the best that our farmers and fishers can offer. There are a number of staple items on the menu with seasonal dishes as well as daily features.

Miracle Belgian Waffle – Dessert Hangout in Coquitlam

My friend CC told me about this waffle place near Coquitlam Centre -- Miracle Belgian Waffle. Having moved to Richmond, I'm not in Coquitlam as often anymore; so when CC wanted to meet up in Coquitlam, I took the opportunity to check it out.

[Christmas on VanFoodies] 25 Years of Gingerbread Lane at the Hyatt

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the lobby of the Hyatt Regency Vancouver is currently filled with gingerbread houses built by students, and amateur and professional bakers. There seems to be fewer entries but the quality seems to be higher than the last couple of years. Here are some highlights for me.
