We were approached to experience a new online coffee seller at GotMyBeans.com. The premise of the website is the freshness of the beans -- as a coffee drinker, quality and freshness of beans do matter to me, so I was intrigued and agreed to give it a try.

The 2014 Vancouver International Wine Festival has come to an end, and we were invited to cover two events. First of all, a glimpse of the International Tasting Room. There were various sessions on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We went to Thursday evening one; apparently it also tends to be the most "tame" session of all.

Now, I know Christmas is already a distant memory for most of you, but I’ve been away on holidays so it’s still fresh in my mind, as are these beers.

For my second post, I wanted to introduce a new, regular(ish) segment. One of the great things about craft beer is the multitude of brews suitable of cellaring. A space that has traditionally been reserved for wines, more and more beers are being released that have the ability to age without going bad (assuming they are cellared properly).
