[Hot Chocolate Festival 2023] Motoretta Gelato and its Unique Savoury & Sweet Combo

Greater Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival is back and it's going to be a month of delicious indulgence of chocolate goodness! First up, Motoretta Gelato, with Salvatore Boccarossa at the helm. You may know Sal from Passione Gelato so you know his flavours are always spot on. They offer two unique pairings of sweet and savory.

High Tea at Tsujiri Richmond: $35 is a steal!

High tea these days is so expensive! Most places are now charging at least $50 per person, and that's considered "affordable." So when my friend CC told me about this $70 tea set at Tsujiri, I naturally assumed it's $70 per person. But no, it's $70 for two!! Can it be too good to be true?!

[Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival 2021] Mon Paris Patisserie

Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival is back! On the top of my list to try was Mon Paris Patisserie because both flavours on the menu sound so good!

Kouign Cafe – Follow the White Rabbit to Chinatown

Last year, a pop-up bakery took Vancouver by the storm with a cookie made with the Asian White Rabbit candy. This summer, Chef Andrew Han turned his pop-up into a cafe. Kouign Cafe is now open in Chinatown. While I was in the area, I swung by and purchased one of everything that was available at that time. I've never bought pastries from their pop-up shop before so this would be my first time trying them.

[Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival 2020] Chez Christophe

Another hot chocolate stop I've made was Chez Christophe in Burnaby. I remember meeting Christophe at a work conference years ago when he was doing cooking demonstration. That was before he opened his shop in Burnaby. Since then, I've been there a few times for pastries, but this was my first time trying their hot chocolate fest creations.
