To celebrate craft beer culture, local craft breweries and establishments put together a week full of activities to promote craft beer in Vancouver, including dinners, award ceremony and workshops.

4th Annual Spot Prawn Festival Kicks Off on May 8

It’s that time of the year again. Just a few weeks ago I had the first taste of this season’s spot prawns and they’re just soooo yummy!! We had them two-way at home – sashimi and boiled – and we could taste the natural, sweet flavour of the prawns.

For the fourth time the Chefs Table Society is hosting the annual Spot Prawn Festival and it kicks off with a community event this Saturday, May 8 at the False Creek Fishermen’s Wharf. For the next 6-8 weeks, take the opportunity to visit the Fishermen’s Wharf and buy some locally sourced, sustainable spot prawns. They are really that good!
