[Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival 2020] Chez Christophe

Another hot chocolate stop I've made was Chez Christophe in Burnaby. I remember meeting Christophe at a work conference years ago when he was doing cooking demonstration. That was before he opened his shop in Burnaby. Since then, I've been there a few times for pastries, but this was my first time trying their hot chocolate fest creations.

[Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival 2020] 1931 Gallery Bistro

While Dine Out Vancouver is happening, did you know there's also Hot Chocolate Festival? In fact, this is the 10th annual Hot Chocolate Festival. 44 different locations offering more than 110 flavours over a 4-week period, up until Valentine's Day. First stop is the 1931 Gallery Bistro, upstairs from the Vancouver Art Gallery. They serve up 4 creations inspired by art.

Haute Chocolate Service at Chocolate Arts Cafe

Last week Chocolate Arts launched a brand new, enhanced take on high tea - they call it the "Haute Chocolate" service. I was invited to try it out so my friend JX has joined me for some girly time.

Mink Chocolates (Downtown)

Since I started working downtown, I've been wanting to try Mink Chocolates but was never able to find a good time to drop by (they close too early on weekdays to make it happen). During the Hot Chocolate Festival earlier this month, I finally made the effort to swing by. It was the only chocolate shop I visited during the festival.

Cocoa Goodness at Bella Gelateria

As Joyce has mentioned on our Facebook page, Hot Chocolate Festival is going on from now until February 14. My first stop (maybe my only one) was at Bella Gelateria in the downtown area by Burrard Station.
