Earlier this month, as media, I was invited to attend the 3rd annual Science of Cocktails event at the Science World. It was the perfect venue as the Science World was transformed into a giant lab where drinks were changing from blue to pink, bananas being sous vide in honey, popcorn was frozen with liquid nitrogen, a “toothpaste” palate cleanser, smoking herbs, vaporized gin & tonic, fermentation, a sniffing station, foodies pulling themselves up a lift… the list goes on!

It has become our family tradition to go for a brunch buffet on Christmas Day. Instead of going downtown this year, we have decided to try the EBO Restaurant in Burnaby.

It seems to me that EBO has established itself as a contender in the dining scene in (Metro) Vancouver. This was my first time eating at the restaurant.

For $42 per person, it offered a wide variety of food items. The quality was great and the refill took place quickly. Here are some items on the menu:

Last week, we attended the launch event of the Steamworks bottled beer. Yes, you can now purchase Steamworks beer by the bottles and bring them home. At the event, we were each given a passport to taste 6 beer & food pairings, try them all and we would be eligible for door prizes.
