Did you miss BC Blueberry Day on July 15? That means it’s the start of our blueberry season. This year, if you are looking for farms to pick or buy blueberries, recipes, how-to videos of local chefs, interviews of blueberry farmers, and other blueberry festivities, check out the new online hub at GoBlueBC.ca. Most excitingly, there is a grand prize contest presented by White Spot and Triple O’s for a chance to win $1,000 in gift cards and other prizes. The contest ends on August 3.

[Giveaway] Are You Ready for Pirate Pak Day 2016?

On August 10, the popular Pirate Pak Day returns to White Spot! This is the only day of the year when the adults get to order their own Pirate Pak. For each Pirate Pak sold on that day, White Spot will donate $2.00 to Zajac Ranch for Children.

White Spot will be serving a limited menu on August 10. The Adult Pirate Pak menu has changed slightly this year; you’ll have 5 options: the Legendary Burger, Bacon Cheddar Burger, Mediterranean Chicken Burger, Sriracha Portobello Veggie Burger or Sriracha Goat Cheese Turkey Burger. They are served in a pirate boat, and come with bottomless fries, coleslaw, a soft drink, a scoop of ice cream and a chocolate “gold coin”. Not a burger fan? There will also be a selection of other sandwiches, entrees and salads for you to choose from – just order the boat on the side!

On August 12, the popular Pirate Paks will be available to adults across BC and Alberta, and for each Pirate Pak sold on that day, White Spot will donate $2.00 to Zajac Ranch for Children, an established BC charity that provides a once-in-a-lifetime summer camp experience to kids and young adults with life-threatening illnesses and chronic disabilities.

The Adult Pirate Pak offers four options: the Legendary Burger, BC Chicken Burger, Bacon Cheddar Bigger Burger and Provolone Veggie Burger. They are served in a pirate boat, and come with fries, coleslaw, a soft drink, a scoop of ice cream and a chocolate “gold coin”.

[News] Tomorrow: Pirate Pak Day returns for its 7th year

If you have been keeping track, you would know that we are just one day away from White Spot’s annual Pirate Pak Day. Tomorrow, and tomorrow only, August 13, 2014, White Spot will once again make available its popular Adult Pirate Paks.

Unleash your inner child on this day and indulge in classic Pirate Pak items including the Legendary Burger, Bacon Cheddar Bigger Burger and BC Chicken Burger. For each Pirate Pak sold, White Spot will donate $2 to Zajac Ranch for Children. To-date they have raised close to 269,000 for Zajac Ranch through this initiative!

Summer has officially started, which means our local farms are also busy harvesting. BC produces a huge variety of fresh ingredients — cherries, blueberries, apples, peaches, corn, cheese, salmon, tomatoes, etc. — everything is so close to home! Earlier this week White Spot launched its new Celebrate BC summer menu to celebrate exactly that, featuring local ingredients and select wines from farms and vineyards around the province.
