Mr. is a strong believer of function over form, and that translates into food. He doesn’t take kindly to any of the snobby pretentious crap some dare call “fine dining”. In the end of the day, if it doesn’t taste good, it doesn’t taste good, no matter how refined the presentation is and/or how steep the price tag is. His take-no-prisoners approach will give you an honest and down-to-earth view of the food you love or hate to eat.
so, a review of moonraker?

Hello Mr.!!! This is Kathryn, one of Tracy’s friends, we met at Eddie’s birthday get together the other weekend.
I finally got a chance to check out vanfoodies.com (side note: the cupcake title page makes me want cupcakes!). So I have been enjoying sipping a cup of tea (too early in the afternoon for wine yet but that will come later) and reading through some of the reviews.
As you mentioned it would be great to catch up and try out a few different places around Vancouver sometime since myself, Bryan and Angela are new-ish to Vancouver so if it is easier to call or email Tracy has my info. Any follow-up comments to this comment should be emailed to me as well. But just to let you know next weekend I am off to San Francisco and Napa Valley and then the following weekend I have a full day on Saturday to complete the level 1 WSET wine intro course. My pallet will be well educated and overwhelmed, I am looking forward to it!
For now enjoy your day and talk soon.

Hi Kathryn!
I’m glad I convinced you to visit our little site :D. If you’d like you can add us on FB (vanfoodies) for regular updates.
Well it sure sounds like you’ll have a couple fun weekends coming up. Are you heading down to Napa Valley for wine tasting?
We sure can plan a dinner outing later in April or early May; I’ll check with Joyce as well and see how her time is.
Is there any particular type of food are you guys interested in trying out?

Hello Mr.! I am soooo sorry for not messaging earlier! I can’t believe it is May 21st already!!! That is nuts, where has the time gone?
So we would still love to catch up. First thing we thought of was Indian food but I think it was Tracy who told Bryan that you didn’t know of a really good Indian restaurant? But we are up for anything really. Something not too pricey though. You can get my email from Tracy when you get a chance and then we can organize the details (I am not a fan sending my info out of the WWW for just anyone to see). Will hear form you soon I hope!

Hey Mr. I will be off to Australia for 2 weeks in mid-July to see my family back home (woohoo!) & was wondering if we could all catch up before then for dinner? Perhaps Thai or Italian? Or anywhere you think, we eat anything! hehe. If it doesn’t happen before I leave, not a big deal. Have a fabulous day :).
Side note: Would you guys be able to recommend a breakfast place around the White Rock/South Surrey area at all? Something not as pricey as The Seasons but not as gross as Denny’s hehe.
