Even though the theme region for this year's Vancouver International Wine Festival was California, there were many events featuring other wine-making countries/regions. Lucky for me I was able to attend the Gusto Latinoamericano wine lunch at Lift Bar Grill View. As you may have guessed already, this wine lunch highlighted wines from Argentina and Chile.
[Dine Out Vancouver 2019] Popina Canteen on Granville Island #DOVF
Not many places offer a $15 Dine Out menu but I was most intrigued by Popina on Granville Island. The restaurant concept is created by some of the most celebrated chefs in Vancouver. The space is made up of shipping containers, located right by the Granville Island Public Market. The $15 menu is pretty straightforward. A sandwich + a side of fries and its signature puffcream for dessert.
New Food Menu at Jugo Juice
On March 21, Jugo Juice launched a revamped food menu with 4 new sandwiches and 5 new wraps. The new sandwiches are served on heritage sourdough from local bakery Terra Breads or a brand new natural and preservative free artisan bun from Ace Bakery called schiacciata. [Dine Out Vancouver 2018] Menus are out: What caught our eyes #DOVF
Dine Out Vancouver is back! Running from January 19 to February 4, more than 300 restaurants are offering prix fixe menus and more than 35 special events are planned over this 2-week period. [Travel] Cuckoo Trattoria & Pizzeria, Coombs BC
If you are asking for suggestions around Mid Vancouver Island, almost everyone would tell you about this little town named Coombs. So what's there? The biggest draw is definitely the Old Country Market, better known as the Goats on the Roof Market. Namely, there are living goats on the roof! We were lucky to see a few of them grazing and chilling on the roof. While we were there, we had lunch at the Cuckoo Trattoria Italian Restaurant next door. It has a good selection of pasta and pizza dishes.
