Dine Out Vancouver is back! Running from January 19 to February 4, more than 300 restaurants are offering prix fixe menus and more than 35 special events are planned over this 2-week period.

Vancouver Aquarium Pop-up Restaurant 2017 Dine Out
The 3-course dinner are priced at $20, $30 or $40. Some restaurants may charge extra for special menu items. Some restaurants are also offering a lunch menu, which could be at a cheaper price point. The menus are now live and reservations are open. Pretty excited about some of the participating restaurants this year. After perusing the menus, here are our suggestions, based on past experience (Dine Out or not) as well as menu attractiveness. I’ve included links to the menu to make it easier for you:

After going through the menus, this is definitely The Year of Beef Short Ribs and Panna Cotta – many restaurants are offering these two dishes. There are some interesting menus, but not very many. Now keep in mind I curated the list above based on my preference, my way of thinking, so it may not all suit your taste. But hopefully this gives you a place to start.

Of course don’t forget that there’s also the Street Food City as well as other events such as the Ocean Wise Pop-Up Cafe, Vancouver World Chef Exchange (there are a number of them, including this one for Tokyo), The Art of Tea Gastronomy, and a Pig Roast at Mamie Taylor’s.
Hope you’ll have a great time enjoying the Dine Out Vancouver 2018 festivities!
IMO Cuchillo was totally unfilling as a $30 dineout. Hopefully that’s fixed by moving into the $40 tier this year!

Umm…I’m not sure. I didn’t try their menu myself but the items look pretty good to me. Portion size is always an issue during Dine Out though. Restaurants have to offer 3 courses at a discounted price so some things gotta suffer…
