Japadog now has 3 locations! They just opened another stand in Coal Harbour. It’s close to the water and it actually has patio seating. Customers now get to sit down, enjoy the view and savour their Japadog – all at the same time. Unfortunately at this location they only offered the Terimayo dog, which is fine with me since I only tried the Okonomi anyways. I found the Terimayo and Okonomi rather similar. And yet again I realize how much I’d enjoy the combination of okonomiyaki sauce with dried seaweed.
This location is not as busy as the other two. I suspect not everyone is aware of this new stand. I wish it could more options, instead of Terimayo plus other regular ones. That will help showcasing the variety of Japadogs this chain hotdog stand offers.

Previously on March 13, 2009:
Japadog recently opened a second stand right across from my office at Bentall One. I always knew about the original location at Burrard and Smithe but never paid them a visit. Now that it’s so close by and hearing that my coworker really enjoyed his Japadogs, I finally went and grabbed my first Japadog.
I ordered the Okonomi dog and it was good. I really liked the sausage and the sauce was good. I was tempted to ask them for some seaweed too, but wasn’t sure if it was allowed. Seaweed should be a nice addition since it will remind me of Takoyaki (Japanese octopus balls).
I have to say, they’re doing such a good job in marketing. Japadog is now on Twitter and the number of followers grow exponentially. Many people visit their two stands because of what they saw on Twitter. It’s really working for them. Follow @japadog on Twitter.
