June 23: Pajo’s 25th Anniversary in Port Moody

June 24: Greek Day on Broadway
Hosted by the Hellenic Canadian Congress of B.C.’s (HCC), this event is to promote the Vancouver Greek community’s established presence during the last 100 years and incorporating its rich cultural heritage that has spanned 2500 years of history.
It includes 23 food vendors, live music, dancing lessons, sampling Greek product, petting zoo, cooking demonstrations, artisan market, raffle and more.

Now till June 28: Italian Heritage Month Festivities
The Province of BC and the City of Vancouver proclaimed June 2012 the Italian Heritage Month. To celebriate their culture, the Italian Cultural Centre has organized a series of events, with some offering food, such as the Grand Opening Day (June 1), Eurocup gatherings (June 10, 14 and 18), Italian Day on the Drive (June 10), and Festa Italiana (June 24).

Now till July 18: Arts Club Theatre’s Celebrity Chef Cooking Classes
The Arts Club Theatre Company announces its spring 2012 lineup of Celebrity Chef Cooking Classes, running from May 28 to July 18. These intimate four-course dinners are held at private residences throughout Vancouver to give guests the opportunity to discover the latest trends in food and wine, and ways to incorporate in-vogue ingredients into the home cook’s arsenal. The spring lineup includes new chefs: David Robertson, owner of The Dirty Apron Cooking School; TV personality Anthony Sedlak, who recently opened The American Cheesesteak Co.; Tim Evans at Siena Restaurant; and Tom Lee, chef de cuisine at Edible Canada at the Market.

June 1-3: EAT! Vancouver
EAT! Vancouver, Canada’s largest consumer food, beverage and cooking festival, will take place at BC Place Stadium on June 1-3, 2012. It includes hundreds of exhibits to browse, taste and shop, plus celebrity chef cook-offs, and the opportunity to get to meet and know about local restaurants, wineries, food and beverage manufacturers, artisan goods, and many others from the culinary world.

Now till June 2: Feast! Tofino
A 16-day-long series of culinary events to be held on the West Coast of Vancouver Island beginning on May 18, 2012 and culminating with the Tofino Food and Wine Festival, June 1-2, 2012. A collaboration between acclaimed local and regional guest chefs, restaurants, fishermen, foragers, farmers, accommodation, activity and tour providers, Feast! Tofino celebrates the abundance of available seafood and the sustainable “boat-to-table” practices commonly employed by the area’s restaurants and the Tofino-Ucluelet Culinary Guild.
