When I asked for restaurant recommendations for Las Vegas, most people suggested Eggslut. So we went. At 12:30am on a Friday night/Saturday morning.
It’s amazing to be in the sin city, where a restaurant would open at 12am. Yep, Eggslut opens at 12am on Saturdays, to cater to the clubbing crowd I assume. We flew in late that evening so we figured we would grab a late night meal. There was still a line outside Marquee, right across from Eggslut.
Food
We ordered the Slut, one of their specialty items. Coddled egg on top of potato puree, topped with gray salt and chives, served with slices of baguette. It’s cooked with an immersion circulator so the egg was in perfect consistency. It’s fun to eat, as you stir in the egg with the potato puree then spread (more like scoop) onto the baguette slices. The droopy concoction was flavourful and it sure was a little messy to eat. And I can totally understand why it’s named the way it is.

We also ordered the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich. It’s with house-made turkey sausage, over medium egg, cheddar cheese, honey mustard aioli in a brioche bun. Honestly I was skeptical about the turkey sausage, thinking it could be dry. But it was moist, and you can taste the herbs and pepper in the patty. The egg yolk was still runny, oozing out of the burger adding creaminess to the honey mustard aioli and made it extra saucy and messy (my sandwich didn’t photograph well – the egg yolk was tucked to the back so you can’t see it here).
Final Thoughts
Overall, the food was tasty. It was a solid choice as our first meal in Vegas. Even though it’s turkey sausage, I can see myself order the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich again. The Slut perhaps was on the pricey side for what it is and I think we were too sober to fully enjoy it haha!
