[Hot Chocolate Festival 2026] Crème de la Crumb

If you like peanut butter & jelly (jam), or Black Forest Cake, check out Crème de la Crumb for their 2026 Hot Chocolate Festival creations. This is actually their first time participating in the festival, so I think they deserve some extra love. Crème de la Crumb has two locations, one in Downtown Vancouver near the Waterfront SkyTrain Station, and the other at the Broadway Tech Centre on Virtual Way. I went to the Broadway Tech Centre to try the hot chocolate.

Usually I’m not a fan of cherry-flavoured things because it tends to taste medicinal to me (read: cough syrup). But not the Cherry Bomb, and I think it’s the use of real black cherries in the beverage. It’s fruity and rich, and it reminds me of a delicious Black Forest Cake. It comes with a Citrus Poppyseed Shortbread and I couldn’t help but dip my shortbread into the whipped cream. This was definitely the favourite of the two for me.

072 – Cherry Bomb
Made with real black cherries and silky 54% dark chocolate, this decadent hot chocolate is topped with cherry whipped cream and a light dusting of cocoa powder. Served with a mini citrus poppyseed shortbread.

The After-School Special is made for peanut butter fans, with just a hint of strawberry. To me, the strawberry was so subtle I didn’t taste it until I reached the bottom of the cup. It’s very nutty (some chewing going on with the crushed nuts too) and rich, and it’s certainly a decadent version of a PB&J. Calling it an “after-school special” is quite fitting because this will make a perfect afternoon pick-me-up treat.

073 – The After-School Special
Nostalgia in a cup! Organic strawberries, smooth peanut butter and 54% dark chocolate make this peanut butter & jam hot chocolate a decadent treat. Served with a mini almond financier.

Each drink is $8.77 for a medium size. The Broadway Tech Centre location is spacious with lots of seating, and I think it’s a great place for workers in the area to meet up for a coffee, lunch, or a treat.
