Between tomorrow and Sunday Oct 23, Lonsdale Quay Market in North Vancouver is holding a food and beverage festival, Savour. It’s a series of tasty events to help you discover the various food vendors at the market. It includes:
- Guided Market Taste Tour
- Lunch and Learn Seminars featuring seafood cooking tips, chef demos, wine & cheese pairing and healthy eating
- Cordon Bleu Kids – activities for our young chefs-to-be
- Contests on Lonsdale Quay’s Facebook and Twitter
Events are free but registrations are required at events@lonsdalequay.com.ย Donations will be accepted to support the Harvest Project.

If I were a dish, I would be a concoction of BC spot prawns, fresh garlic, chives, in a tomato broth and steamed artichoke with melted salted butter with fresh sourdough bread to dip with. Why? I LOVE local seafood and artichokes are one of my favourite things to indulge in too ๐

Vegetable soup with all the fall vegetables – warm and satisfying with a piece of garlic cheese bread
If I were a dish, I’d be something for dessert, rolled in cocoa with a hint of smoked paprika and cinnamon on the outside – dark chocolate ganache smooth and sinful on the inside and in the very centre a carmelized pecan – because after all aren’t we all a bit nuts (at least for food) under it all ๐
