It’s been confirmed that Dine Out Vancouver 2012 will run from Jan 20-Feb 5, 2012. This marks the 10th anniversary of Canada’s largest restaurant festival. In addition to prix fixe menus of $18, $28 or $38, there are also special hotel packages as well as culinary events available during that time period. Never heard of DOV? De Dutch Savoury vs Sweet Contest
De Dutch Pannekoek House recently launched a contest, allowing customers to vote between savoury and sweet toppings in order to find the ultimate pannekoek (Dutch pancake) topping. By voting, participants will receive a 25% off pass for your next visit in January 2012, as well as a chance to win $500 De Dutch gift card. I’m certainly curious about the results of this contest!
For more info, or to enter, visit De Dutch’s Facebook Page. Contest runs till December 24, 2011.
Recipe to Riches – Canada Votes
Have you been following Food Network’s new show, Recipe to Riches? Fellow blogger Follow Me Foodie was one of the finalists in the Sweet Puddings and Pies category. They’ve chosen a winner for each of the 7 categories, and have launched their respective winning product. If you have tried the products, speak up and choose your favourite by voting online – this ultimately determines the final winner of the $250,000 grand prize. I’m glad to see that two of the six eligible category winners are from BC.
To vote, visit the Recipe to Riches website. Voting ends at 8:59PM PST on Friday, December 9, 2011.
