If you haven’t heard already, 15 additional food trucks will start appearing on a Vancouver street this month. According to Vancity Buzz, that means there will be a total of 114 food trucks in Vancouver by the time they’re all fully operational. This is exciting news! Mr. and I were blown away by the pods of food trucks we saw in Portland and we’re glad to see it happen in Vancouver.
New and old food trucks will slowly kick off their season, if they haven’t already. I have yet to try some new ones this year, but here is the food truck series that I did last summer. This may help you pick out a few good ones to hold you over while waiting for the new ones to pop up.
- Arturo’s Mexico To Go
- Guanaco
- The Kaboom Box
- Mangal Kiss (Love!)
- Mom’s Grilled Cheese (Love!)
- Soho Road Naan Kebab (Like)
- Street Meet
- Tacofino Blue (Like)
- Vij’s Railway Express (Like)
- Ze Bite
Yolk’s Breakfast and Pig on the Street were also quite good. We just didn’t have a chance to blog about them.
Right now I’ve got Le Tigre and The Reef Runner on my radar, but I’m sure more will be added to my wish list as I start hearing/reading up about them.
City of Vancouver has an interactive map for you to locate a food truck. Click here to see it.
Happy food-truck eating!
