I review this beer with a heavy heart. I don’t really like just coming out and saying something is bad, but this was bad. The dark brown pour and fluffy head gave me hope, but there was something off with the smell.

Then came the taste…the smoke and peat that is supposed to be there…it was there, but weak, completely overtaken by a dirty, mouldy sock flavour. I had to dump it.

The good news is I think this was just a skunked bottle, because other reviews have been pretty positive, and there is absolutely no way my beer tasted anything like what’s described in those reviews.

So I’ll just have to chalk this one up to a bit of bad bottle-luck.
