And the draw is: Red Racer Jitter Buzz
Today we have Jitter Buzz, an Imperial Coffee Stout, made with Cold-pressed organic espresso, courtesy of Bean Around The World.
I have a secret; I’m not a coffee fan. I’m a tea guy through and through. Really, the only time I drink coffee is when it’s in the form of a latte or something along those lines.
Coffee is a pretty popular flavour in beer, though, so I’ve developed an appreciation for it, if not love. Fortunately, this is a coffee brew I can enjoy while appreciating.
The pour is dark brown with a medium tan head, aroma is roasted coffee. Coffee comes through in the taste, but surprisingly not too strong. It actually balances quite nicely, with caramel, vanilla, and earthiness also coming through. Definitely among the better coffee stouts I’ve had.
Totally arbitrary score with holiday reference: 3.5/5 Gingerbread Houses
**Bonus Tip** Over on Instagram, a handful of enterprising fellows have been counting down through the Seasons Greetings box as well – with clever/hilarious pictures. Check them out @beer__brothers/
