Black Christmas is a…Christmas Dark Ale. Not a Cascadian Dark Ale, as we would assume. Well, yes it is, but no, it’s not. Christmas is the theme here people!
Anyway, P49 has been making this one for awhile now, and why not? It’s a pretty good beer. Black pour with big fluffy head. Aromatic blend of malts and resinous hops. Taste is toasted, coffee malts mixed with dark, hoppy fruitiness. This is a solid CDA and a nice start to the back half of the box.
Speaking of which…wow we’re in the second half of the box! I feel like I just opened it yesterday! Yikes!
